The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Scholarship Foundation continues its 48-year-old tradition of assisting graduating high school seniors and current college students who reside in Scotch Plains and Fanwood, New Jersey achieve their goal of a college or other post-high school education. What initially began with scholarships totaling $1,200 awarded to four recipients in 1967 has grown into $137,650 awarded to 89 students this past May. Since its inception, the Scholarship Foundation has proudly awarded $2,507,042 to 2,523 local students. Each scholarship is made available by the generosity of many individuals and local organizations and is considered an investment in the next generation with the return on that investment benefitting our community and communities around the globe.
Graduating seniors from public or private high schools and current college students who plan to attend a recognized post-high school institution in the fall of 2014 may apply for scholarship assistance. Recognized post-high school institutions include two and four year colleges, as well as business, technical and vocational schools. The Board of Trustees encourages all qualifying students to apply for these scholarships.
