November 1, 2022 –The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Scholarship Foundation and local restaurants invite you to save the cooking for Thanksgiving and treat yourself to a night – or two – on the town! Beginning Monday, November 14 through Friday, November 18, 2022, participating restaurants will donate 5% of their profits from your check to the Foundation (the purchase of alcoholic beverages is excluded).
“We are excited to work with our local restaurants to host, what we hope will become, an annual restaurant week event,” says Joy Donaldson, Foundation Trustee, and lead organizer of the event. “The participating restaurants will be providing generous support to this endeavor. We look forward to seeing our friends in the community dining out and enjoying some of the area’s best culinary experiences while supporting the Foundation.”
“We are thrilled to continue our successful Restaurant Week fundraiser with our local restaurants,” says Joy Donaldson, Foundation Trustee, and lead organizer of the event. “The generosity of our community is what allows us to continue the mission of the Foundation. Bringing the community together at some our community’s best restaurants in a combined effort of support is one of the many reasons that make Fanwood and Scotch Plains special.”
Dine-in, pickup, and direct from establishment delivery orders qualify. Orders via third-party delivery services such as UberEATS, Grub Hub, DoorDash, etc., are not eligible for this fundraising event.
The Foundation has awarded over $4M to deserving students since 1967. These scholarship awards are made possible by the generosity of local businesses and members of the community and beyond.
