The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Scholarship Foundation was established on June 27, 1966. Recognizing the vital need for post-high school education and the increasing financial responsibility that it places on families, the Foundation awarded its first scholarships in 1967. Since then, we have proudly awarded scholarships to thousands of students totaling over $4 million.
The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Scholarship Foundation qualifies as a charitable organization under IRS section 501(c)(3). Contributions are tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.
The scholarship Foundation raises funds through our annual Dollars for Students campaign.
In addition to the Foundation’s Dollars for Students awards, we currently administer over 50 separate honorary and memorial scholarships, funded via individuals or groups from our community and beyond and set up as a one-time award, or awarded annually.
